What was the inspiration for the book? What was the inspiration for the title?

The inspiration for the book is my desire to enlighten people about how faith is needed in their everyday life, and it has to be used in about every situation that comes their way whether in finances or in health. The inspiration for the title of the book The Walk of Faith was based on the scripture reference 2 Corinthians 5:7- For we walk by faith and not by sight- meaning we are not to be moved by our circumstances (what we see) but are to use our faith(spiritual eyes) in all situations that come up against us.

Why is it so important to embrace “The Walk of Faith” as a lifestyle?

It is important to embrace it because without faith it is impossible to please God without (faith) –Hebrew 11:6- Faith is not a movement it is a way of life ,in order to see results we have to have the God kind of faith.

Who designed the cover art? How did you come up with the concept for the cover art?

My husband is an artist and he drew a rough draft and the publishing company Xlibris, put it together digitally. In the bible we are told in Ephesians 6 to put on the whole armor of God. This is protection gear, so that the Believer can protect himself from fiery darts (tricks of Satan) .I pictured a soldier with his armor on walking through life trying to avoid (block) these darts (sickness, debt, poverty ,drugs etc.) The shield represents the shield of faith and the sword represents the Word of God.

What do you want readers to come away with after reading your book?

I would like readers to feel motivated, empowered, and enlightened and know that faith is what moves God to work on their behalf in their situation.

What projects do you have in development this year?

At this time I am working on an inspirational line of greeting cards, and more inspirational books to come

What advice do you have for aspiring writers?

My advice for aspiring writers is to never ever give up on their dreams. Don’t let anyone discourage you from getting that dream into motion. Don’t let your dream die. There is a quote by author Toni Morrison that says “If there’s a book you really want to read and it hasn’t been written , then you must write it”.

What made you decide to self-publish?

Who better to know your thoughts and ideas than yourself?

How has social media helped your success as an author?

I started off writing blogs and quotes of the day on Facebook to give the readers something to start and help them through the day. When the book was published in July 2011 and I introduced it to the world, people were excited to read this book and get it into their hands.

What would you like to say to those who have supported you?

Thank you for allowing me to be a blessing to you and thank you for being a blessing to me.
