On Sunday, May 3, 2026, leaders, changemakers, diplomats, community advocates, and distinguished guests gathered at the prestigious Buckhead Club in Atlanta for the 16th Annual Elaine Bryan Foundation Inspirational Luncheon, an afternoon centered on leadership, service, unity, and impact.
Hosted by Dr. Elaine Bryan, Honorary Consul for Jamaica in Atlanta and Founder & Chair of the Elaine Bryan Foundation, the luncheon once again served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community, purpose-driven leadership, and the collective responsibility to invest in people and build stronger futures. The event brought together an inspiring gathering of partners, sponsors, supporters, and individuals committed to creating meaningful change within their communities and beyond.
Representing VBD Magazine at the event were Ann Marie Bryan, CEO of Victorious By Design and Editor-in-Chief of VBD Magazine, and Beverlyn Johnson, Creative Director of VBD Magazine.

Throughout the afternoon, the atmosphere reflected excellence, purpose, collaboration, and a shared commitment to uplifting others through service and leadership.
From the moment guests entered the venue, there was a spirit of connection and celebration in the room. Conversations flowed naturally as leaders and attendees reconnected with colleagues, strengthened existing relationships, and formed new ones. The luncheon created a space where individuals from diverse backgrounds and professions gathered with a common desire to inspire, serve, and support meaningful initiatives.
One of the highlights of the luncheon was hearing from keynote speaker His Excellency Major General (Ret’d) Antony Anderson, Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States. His insightful remarks and exemplary leadership added tremendous value to the experience while emphasizing the importance of service, unity, and continued investment in our communities. His message highlighted the significance of leadership rooted in vision, integrity, and responsibility, while emphasizing the lasting impact strong leadership can have across generations.

Guests were also inspired by Mayor Andre Dickens, the 61st Mayor of Atlanta, whose remarks encouraged hope, unity, and community engagement. His message reinforced the importance of civic partnership and collective action while serving as a reminder that progress often happens when communities work together toward a common purpose.
Beyond the distinguished speakers and notable guests, the event reflected something even greater: a celebration of leadership in action. Throughout the room were individuals who continue to dedicate their lives and careers to strengthening communities, supporting families, creating opportunities, and leaving a positive mark on those they serve.
Dr. Elaine Bryan’s dedication to serving the Jamaican diaspora and creating opportunities for empowerment and connection continues to inspire many across communities and industries. Through her leadership and service, she has built bridges, strengthened relationships, and created spaces where culture, education, mentorship, and community advancement can thrive. Her work remains a powerful example of what it means to lead with excellence and purpose.

VBD Magazine was honored to previously feature Dr. Bryan as the cover story of the March 2025 issue in celebration of Women’s History Month, recognizing her extraordinary contributions, leadership, and impact. Her feature highlighted not only her professional accomplishments but also her heart for service and her ongoing commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
“The Elaine Bryan Foundation Inspirational Luncheon was a powerful reminder that leadership is at its best when it is rooted in service, strengthened through community, and driven by a commitment to creating opportunities that uplift others.”
