Meet our Honoree

Today, we are honoring reader extraordinaire, Tina Young. Tina has a master’s degree in Creative Writing/Screen Play which she believes greatly enhanced her writing skills and the chances of her dream coming true. She desires to write an amazing bestselling screen play.

We know you love to read but what else do you do for fun?

I enjoy volunteering with my church and helping my community.I also enjoy just living and enjoying life with my family and friends.

Do you like coffee or tea? Chocolate or candy? Beaches or mountains?

I play around with coffee, never finishing a cup. I love iced tea. I like chocolate, but I love Hi-chews. I’m not a big fan of the beach or mountains.

What is your favorite Scripture and why?

John 3:16; I think it’s self-explanatory.

What is your favorite genre and why?

I’m not sure if I have a favorite, but if I have to choose one, it would involve romance in some form of fashion.

What is your favorite part of a story?

I love happy endings.

How do you decide whether or not to buy a book?

It depends on the author. An author has to earn me as a reader, but once you prove to me that you have the ability to write, I’m one of your top supporters.

How important are book covers and back cover description in your purchasing decision?

Book covers aren’t that important to me; however, they can turn a reader against you. Detailed description can win me over.

Do you like book teasers? Why or why not? I love teasers, but please don’t tease me with your one great scene and then disappointment with your book overall.

Do you write book reviews? Why or why not?

I write them because I know how important they are to authors.

How can authors attract new readers? Engaging with your readers is a must. Let your readers know that you are as normal as they are.

What would you like to see in authors’ newsletters?

I like to know about new releases and freebies. LOL!
