AUTHOR LIFE: Delivering life-changing messages

It’s beautiful and empowering how Christian or inspirational authors weave the Word of God into their stories.

Usually, I pray about the theme of my story before I start to write. Each book in the “Encounters of the Heart” series is different and so are the messages and love stories. I pray because I want to make sure that I’m on track with the right theme for the right season. For the series in general, I hope readers will realize that there is usually more to a person’s behavior than what meets the eyes.

There are usually innate circumstances in an individual’s life that impact his or her behavior and disposition. However, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ makes a difference.

Jesus Christ transforms lives and brings hope in the midst of despair.

Through the Encounters of the Heart series, I hope readers will be reminded that love is a beautiful emotion and it is okay to love passionately, very passionately. However, loving someone is never as easy as we would like it to be. For as 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 states: “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;…”

Where My Heart Belongs is a heart-stirring story about love deferred and rediscovered under unforgettable circumstances. The story is laced with faith, friendship, and a sense of community. I wanted to inspire readers to trust our Father’s heart. Sometimes, God shows us our future and then moves us towards it. The thing is, we don’t always know all we have to go through to get it. Remember the story of Joseph. If you are trying to walk in your destiny, there will be roadblocks. But above all, I hope “Where My Heart Belongs” will demonstrate God’s desire to free people from life-altering events that haunt them.
